These terms apply to every spin of a Should We Chews prize wheel. The promoter is the participating restaurant where you dine. The app shows its legal name and ABN with its wheel, before you spin. Should We Chews runs the app, draws the result and keeps the records, but doesn't provide the prizes.
Who can spin
One spin per table, per visit, at a participating restaurant on a night its wheel is running.
Only tables that check in during the restaurant's wheel hours shown in the app can spin. The spin itself can happen after those hours end, when the bill comes.
A restaurant can set a weekly prize budget. Once it's reached, its wheel stops taking new tables until the next week. Tables already checked in still spin as normal.
Each person can be part of one spin per restaurant per day, and two spins a day in total at different restaurants. This includes everyone who joined the night in the app. A day runs until 4am.
The table's host is the entrant in each spin and must be 18 or older. Others at the table aren't entrants and can be any age.
Your table must check in at the restaurant with the door code, and spend at least the table minimum shown in the app (before any discount).
Staff unlock the spin by entering your bill total. The spin must happen while you're at the restaurant, before you pay.
No extra charge to spin
You pay the restaurant's normal menu prices for what you order, and the spin costs nothing extra. There is no extra charge in the app.
Prizes and odds
Each restaurant chooses up to 6 prizes, including up to 2 of its own, and the odds of each, between 1 in 2 and 1 in 100. Every prize and its odds are shown in the app before you choose the restaurant and again on the wheel.
The result is drawn by our server using a secure random number, not by your phone or by the restaurant. The wheel animation shows the result that was drawn.
Holding the spin button together and the countdown are for fun. They don't change the odds or the result.
Percentage prizes come off that night's bill. Where a prize has a cap, it's shown next to it, for example "Half price bill (up to $300)". "Whole bill free" is capped at $500 unless the restaurant shows a lower cap.
A restaurant's own prizes are described in its own words and provided by that restaurant, as its promoter. They come off that night's bill at the value shown, up to the bill.
Food prizes come off that night's bill for what your table ordered. For example, if your table wins "Free desserts for the table", the desserts you ordered come off the bill. Nothing is served after the spin. Where the restaurant shows a cap, the most that comes off is the cap, and never more than the bill.
A restaurant can guarantee every spinning table a minimum discount, for example "Everyone gets 20% off". It's shown in the app before you choose the restaurant. If your table wins a bigger prize, you get the bigger one.
Prizes can't be exchanged for cash. If a prize isn't available, the restaurant will give one of equal or greater value.
Records and complaints
We keep a record of every spin, its odds and its result for at least five years. If a restaurant doesn't honour a prize, tell us through the app or at hello@shouldwechews.com within 7 days and we'll investigate.
Other things
We may cancel a spin we reasonably believe was made unfairly, for example a fake check-in or a bill entered wrongly.

Terms for restaurants
Draft for legal review. Version 2026-11d.
These terms are between Should We Chews and the business that signs up a restaurant ("you").
What we provide
We list your restaurant in the Should We Chews app on the nights and during the hours you choose, show diners your prizes and odds, run each spin on our servers, and give you a dashboard to check in tables and unlock spins.
Your wheel
You choose your prizes, odds, nights and wheel hours. Every wheel needs at least one headline prize (25% off, half price or the whole bill free) and must take at least 5% off a bill on average, so diners can trust that every wheel is worth spinning.
Half price is always capped at an amount you choose, from $10 to $1,000, and diners see the cap. The whole bill free is capped at $500 unless you set a different cap from $10 to $1,000, and you can cap 10%, 15% and 25% off, and food prizes, too.
You can add up to 2 prizes of your own, each with a name and a value. The value comes off that night's bill, up to the bill. You provide them, as the promoter.
You can guarantee every spinning table a minimum discount, from 5% to 30% of the bill. Diners see it in the app before they choose your restaurant. A table that wins a bigger prize gets the bigger one.
You can run your wheel all night or only during set hours. Only tables that check in during those hours can spin.
You can set a weekly prize budget, from $50 to $10,000, for prizes taken off bills from Monday to Sunday. Once that week's prizes reach it, your wheel stops taking new tables until the next Monday. It never changes your odds. Tables already checked in still spin and get their full prize, so a week's prizes can go a little over the budget. Food prizes count once staff enter the amount.
The map shows each wheel's strength and lists stronger wheels first.
Fees
A one-off activation fee of $49 (including GST, if applicable), charged when you sign up.
5% of what the table pays after its prize, including GST if applicable, for every table that spins. It's worked out on the bill staff enter less what the prize takes off, so a table that wins the whole bill free costs no fee. Tables that check in but don't spin cost nothing.
Fees are charged every Monday for the previous week, to the card or bank account you gave us. If you chose prepaid credit, fees come out of your credit first and it tops up by $100 when it runs low.
If a payment fails we'll retry it. While a payment is overdue your restaurant is hidden from the map.
Optional display packs cost $29 plus postage.
What you agree to
You are authorised to act for the restaurant you sign up, and the details you give us are true.
Diners never pay to spin. You charge your normal menu prices on wheel nights and during wheel hours. You don't raise prices, add a surcharge or change portions because of the wheel.
You honour every prize the app shows a table has won, that night. Food prizes come off that table's bill for what it ordered: staff enter what that part of the bill came to, and that amount comes off, up to your cap and the bill. Nothing is served after the spin.
Staff enter the real bill total and unlock one spin per table.
You keep the door code where diners can see it, and only show the activation code to people who manage the restaurant.
You're the promoter of the prize promotion at your restaurant. We show your legal name and ABN to diners as the promoter, and provide the terms, the draw and the records to help you meet Queensland's trade promotion rules.
If you don't honour a prize the app shows a table has won, you're responsible for it. You'll cover the prize's value and any reasonable costs we incur because of it, including claims or complaints made against us by the diners involved.
Ending
You can stop your wheel any time from your dashboard, or close your account by emailing us. Fees for spins that already happened are still due. We can pause or remove a restaurant that doesn't honour prizes, enters false bills or doesn't pay.
Liability
We aren't responsible for the food, service or prizes at your restaurant. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous three months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
